Don't Model COTS — Insert It

Commercial off-the-shelf parts already exist as CAD. FRC-COTS is a one-click library.

  • Made by Athan Wang, Team 7558
  • Browses .f3d parts in a shared cloud project
  • Search, folders, favorites, preview icons
  • Inserts into your design and auto-creates a rigid joint
02

Set Up The Library (Once)

  • Create a Fusion project named FRC_COTS
  • Add .f3d parts in folders: Motors/, Bearings/, Gearboxes/…
  • FRC-COTS reads everything from that project

Insert A Part

  • Utilities ▸ FRC-COTS opens the palette
  • Search e.g. 'Kraken', or browse folders
  • Click a part → it inserts into the active design
  • Pick an edge or face → it auto-aligns a rigid joint

Key idea

Click → insert → joint → done.

No more digging through Data Panels or re-modeling a NEO someone already made.
